Stepping Sideways

To step sideways, you must be at a Locus. (Exceptions: Nuwisha Umbral Affinity, Simba territorial affinity. The mirror Two-face, One-face, No-face is corrected to count as a portable Locus instead of just a reflective surface.)

Pathfinding

All who are going must remain in contact with one another for the duration
All who are going use the Pathfinder’s limitations for crossing the Gauntlet (eg, Nuwisha Umbral Affinity, Simba territorial affinity)
Each Shapeshifter or other character who can cross the Gauntlet but is not part of the Pathfinder’s Pack: -1 (Other Therians)
Each character who may potentially learn to cross the Gauntlet but is not part of the Pathfinder’s Pack: -2 (Magi, spirits)
Each character who is incapable of crossing the Gauntlet: -3 (Vampires, mortals)

Locus Ratings

1 – Immediate vicinity to 2 yards
2 – Up to 15 yards
3 – Sizeable area up to a single floor of a building or a forest clearing or a group of people
4 – Whole building, section of forest, or large group of people
5 – Whole city blocks, lakes, or communities of people
